applies to nonvegan food. Let’s remember though, the
priciest items on a shopping list tend to be the
meat. When you don’t eat meat, that expense is
automatically gone! The basic food staples of a
vegan diet; including rice, veggies, grains, and
fruits are typically more affordable. All things
considered; a vegan diet can be quite affordable.
Myth 2: You don’t get enough protein when you’re
vegan
Vegans are able to pack in a load of protein
throughout their day! They get it from oats, beans,
tofu, spinach, lentils, broccoli, nuts, seeds, and
so much more. Protein is known to keep you full of
energy, keeps you fuller longer, and helps you build
up your muscle. A vegan diet can provide you with
enough protein to keep yourself and your body
healthy.
Myth 3: Being vegan is restrictive
When people think about eating vegan, they
automatically realize that they can no longer
consume animal products like meat, eggs, cheese, and
fish. While it may seem restrictive at first, it’s
important to look at things from all perspectives
and realize the things that you will still be able
to enjoy! Veganism has countless of varieties one
can enjoy from, but you must keep an open mind,
veganism can push you to achieve this and explore
all the wide range of food options there is to try.
Some people say that vegans can’t go out to eat with
their friends. But it is simply just another myth
because it is possible!
Myth 4: There are no health benefits to
veganism
People who are vegan or on other plant-based diets
are known to be at lower risk for chronic illnesses
such as, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and
hypertension. A vegan diet also helps you maintain a
healthy weight and lower your cholesterol.
Myth 5: Being vegan is too hard
Making a change to your routine and lifestyle will
never be easy, it Is a challenge. But becoming vegan
will be a challenge worth committing to.
Implementing a vegan diet into your life is not
impossible, many of your favorite foods have vegan
substitutions. The resources on the internet that
can help you jumpstart your new vegan lifestyle are
